    Oke, Ekpeyong: EFCC agents, police officers clash with DSS, NIA officials

    The conflict has reportedly caused a standoff between the four agencies and resulted into a traffic pileup in the area. A team of officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and police officers clashed with officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) and operatives of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) in Abuja on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.According to a report by Premium Times, the clash happened after EFCC officials, with the help of police officers, attempted to arrest former Director General of the NIA, Ayodele Oke, and former head of the DSS, Ita Ekpeyong from their homes in the FCT.When the officials of the anti-graft agency arrived at the residences of the officials on Mamman Nasir Street in the Asokoro district of the FCT, agents guarding them reportedly resisted their arrests.
