The battle for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman continued at the weekend with governors insisting on their right to back a candidate.
They said they might unveil their candidate before the December 9 convention.
Police Chief Ibrahim Idris has ordered a probe into the Saturday clash between security detail of Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and those of Minister of Transportation Chibuile Amaechi in Port Harcourt.
Although nobody died during the clash, many were injured and the rifle of a policeman was snatched at the Trans-Amadi Layout.
Both Wike and Amaechi, who are former allies, claim thay escaped assassination.
Osita ChidokaThe United Progressive Party (UPP) governorship aspirants in Anambra State, Mr Osita Chidoka, has taken a swipe at political parties.
He dismissed their chances at winning the election during the governorship debate organised by Channels Television and its partners on Sunday.
Specifically, the minister said that with the enforcement of Treasury Single Account (TSA) policy, N3 trillion had accrued to government purse.
