Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has said a mix of courage and perfect play would be the necessary ingredient to overcome Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday in the Champions League play-off second leg tie.
Guardiola’s charges lost 3 -2 to Carlo Ancelotti’s side last Tuesday at the Etihad despite a scintillating start with a goal from Erling Haaland.

However, the Spaniard believes redemption is still in the sights of the 2022/23 champions as he hopes their attacking style of play can come to their rescue.
“You have to make an almost perfect game, obviously,” he said during a press conference on Tuesday.
“The result is not the perfect situation. We have to attack and score goals, this is the idea. ”
“We will have to play an almost perfect game to go through.”
“It’s the same going to Arsenal or Liverpool right now or Barcelona, the big teams qualified for the top eight, it is quite similar.”
Guardiola also said “[We must] Play with courage. Be yourself. I learned that as a young player when we didn’t get results.
“Play with incredible courage and play to win the game, otherwise always you can lose but you must be yourself.
