The American 19th seed Madison Keys won the first set 6-3 against defending champion Aryna Sabalenka in the Australian Open women’s final on Saturday.
World number one Sabalenka came into the Melbourne decider as favourite but Keys took the opening set in 35 minutes in her pursuit of a first Grand Slam crown.
