C’River commissioner lauds Otu’s educational reforms 

The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Stephen Odey, has reaffirmed his commitment to achieving excellence in the state’s education ministry and applauded the efforts of the state governor, Sen Bassey Otu in advancing the education sector in the state.

He disclosed this on Friday during a high-level management and staff meeting with Permanent Secretary, and Ministry Directors held at the Ministry of Education Headquarters in Calabar.

Odey emphasised the importance of leadership and collective responsibility in achieving the administration’s goals.

He said “Leadership is a big task. When you are placed in a leadership position, you have the responsibility to drive the process and strive for excellence.”

Odey expressed profound gratitude to the management staff for their dedication and the significant milestones achieved in the past year and urged them to intensify their efforts in 2025 to meet rising expectations.

Highlighting Otu’s transformative agenda, including the establishment of the new University of Education and Entrepreneurship, Odey stressed the need for every team member to approach their roles with seriousness and commitment.

He noted that the success of the education sector requires a unified and focused approach to complement the governor’s vision.
