House on the Rock’s founding Pastor, Paul Adefarasin, has announced the death of his mother, Mrs. Hilda Joanne Adefarasin.

Aged 98, the nonagenarian died at her home on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

Sharing a picture of his late mother, Adefarasin made this known via his Instagram page on Monday.

His statement read in part, “As announced by the head of the family: J A Adefarasin III. We thank the Almighty God for the life of our mother, Mrs. Hilda Joanne Adefarasin (nee Petgrave), who passed unto glory peacefully in her home, on the evening of Sunday the 5th of February 2023, at the age of 98 years.

“She is survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.”

The cleric described his mother as a woman who led an “illustrious life of service as she parented her children, doted over her husband, and impacted generations and communities.”

He further sought for privacy from the public as the family grieves and plans for her funeral.

Mrs Adefarasin’s death comes weeks after the Pastor celebrated his 60th birthday anniversary.

Adefarasin had earlier lost his father, Justice Joseph Adetunji Adefarasin, a former Chief Judge of Lagos State, in 1989.
