The senator representing Kaduna North senatorial district in the National Assembly, Suleiman Hunkuyi, has declared his intention to contest for the governorship seat in Kaduna State.
According to a statement issued by his media office, Hunkuyi made the declaration on Friday during a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) town hall meeting involving 11 local governments in Angwan Wakili, southern Kaduna.
This comes weeks after the senator defected from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) to the PDP.
