On the final day of the Lagos preliminaries, X-Planter defeated the boys from Abina Omololu 4-3 via penalties after the match stayed 1-1 at the end of regulation time.
The first half ended goalless with both teams being careful not to miss out on the ticket to the international final. When the second half resumed, Nneke Samuel produced a beautiful finish to give X-Planter the lead.

Time was ticking away for the boys from Surulere, but they will not stop fighting. Gbolahan Ikotun was introduced and with his first touch on the ball, the substitute got the equaliser for Abina Omololu.
The Ikotun brothers, Taiwo, Kehinde, Afeez and Gbolahan were impressive for Abina Omololu and won the love of spectators. Taiwo lost the first spot kick and another player struck the woodwork and that was how they lost the shoot-out.
In the second match, the impressive Eunifrance Primary School took on Oke Ifako Primary School. Before the match, Eunifrance had a fine record of three wins, scored eleven goals and conceded none. But they knew it will be tough playing the boys from Gbagada.
Oke Ifako opened scoring through their prolific striker, Daniel Emeruwa in the tenth minute of the match. Daniel got a brace in the second half to seal victory and secure a ticket to the international final.
Season ten of the Channels International Kids Cup will kick off on Monday, 21st May and run through the 27th.
