Two-time African champions, Enyimba, will face Mali’s Djoliba, Williamsville of Cote d’l voire and AC CARA of Congo in Group C of the CAF Confederation Cup, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The draw ceremony took place at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Saturday.
Djoliba, who knocked out Nigeria’s MFM 1-0 on aggregate in the play-off round are the People’s Elephant’s main rival in the group.
Williamsville and AC CARA will be participating in the group stages for the first time.
The top two teams in the group will proceed to the quarter-finals.
In Group A Morocco’s Raja Casablanca, Aduana Stars of Ghana, AS Vita Club of Democratic Republic of Congo and Ivory Coast’s Asec Mimosas will all fight for the top two tickets.
Group B will see some interesting contests with three North African teams, Al Masry of Egypt, RS Berkane and Al Hilal set to fight for the last eight slots. UD Songo of Mozambique are the other teams in the group.
Former champions USM Alger who knocked out Nigerian champions Plateau United from the competition will face Rayon Sports of Rwanda, Kenya’s Gor Mahia and Young African of Tanzania in Group D.
The first set of matches will hold on May 6.
