The Trinity House, in conjunction with I Stand With Israel and Olive Tree Foundation, Norway has pledged to strengthen ties between Nigeria and Israel through positive advocacy, enlightenment and partnerships.
The National Coordinator of I Stand With Israel, Pastor Rex Ajenifuja disclosed this at a press briefing yesterday.The meeting was to mark Israel’s 70th anniversary scheduled to hold on May 14 in Lagos.He said this was necessary because Nigeria shares a lot with Israel in terms of religiousity.
According to him, the former had much to learn from the latter in terms of technology, exchange programmes and other beneficial endeavours.He said due to the significance of the nation of Israel in God’s scheme of things, they would hold a ‘Celebrating Israel at 70’ special service on Sunday, May 20, 2018 in Lagos.
The Church Administrator, Pastor Niyi Famuyide, stressed that
Isreal, besides being the originating point of the Christian faith, has much to offer Nigeria in terms of technological advancement, medicine and tourism.
To the Executive Director of Olive Tree Foundation, Mrs. Britt Lode, Nigeria remains Israel’s strategic partner in various endeavours.She said: “Our mission is to create a spiritual connection and partnership between Christians in Nigeria and the nation of Israel.”As part of the event, a book by Lode, Zion of Light, was unveiled.The book depicts where 12 Israeli Rabbis revealed some secrets to the Christian population, in fulfillment of Zechariah Chapter eight verse 23.
